The boiler has just arrived! A brand new boiler at last! Ok, this may not sound exciting but after a weekend without heat or hot water and weeks of sporadic heat and hot water this really is good news of near biblical proportions to the local household.

Meanwhile, the electrical fit is underway and the last of the wall knocking out is done so the noise and dust should start to settle to more neighbourly proportions.

Let’s hope the boiler gets fitted over the next couple of days and the glass gets put in the doors and windows and the walls get plasterboarded then the floor can go in and it will look like a room again.

Kitchen arrives next monday … all we have between now and then is darling daughter’s wedding! I hope the weather holds up …
