The Royals Have It

The Royal Opera House has announced casting details of its 2012 Ring Cycle. The four complete cycles of Keith Warner‘s production (a revival of the 2004 production) being performed in its 2012/13 season will be conducted by Antionio Pappano and will star Bryn Terfel as Wotan, Stefan Vinke as Siegfried and Susan Bullock as Brunhilde. The four cycles begin on 24th Sep, 2nd Oct, 16th Oct and 26th Oct with each running over 7 or 8 days – What’s On at The Royal Opera House

Meanwhile, up in Stratford-upon-Avon, the RSC has announced productions for 2012 of; “A Soldier in Every Son – An Aztec Trilogy”, “A Tender Thing”, “I, Cinna”, “I, Malvoleo”, “I Peaseblossom”, “Julius Caesar”, “King John”, “Marat/Sade”, “Maydays”, “Measure for Measure”, “Much Ado About Nothing”, “Richard III”, “Romeo and Juliet in Baghdad”, “The Comedy of Errors” “Two Roses for Richard III” and “Troilus and Cressida”.
