At last, the new kitchen has moved onto the constructive bit after what seems like a lifetime of dust and destruction.

The outside has been rendered and painted and the slabs have been restored t their rightful positions – there’s still a huge leap from the door to the floor but we’ll sort that later 😉

The kitchen arrived on time (minus one length of plinth) as did the applicances, flooring and tiles – some kind of miracle. The kitchen fitters arrived to day and got down to the floor, work surfaces, sink and cabinets while the electrician continued the fit-out.

I spent part of sunday and monday painting the walls and part of tonigt oiling the first work surface …

And so, we’re nearly there … tomorrow evening we hope to have a sink as well as a washing machine and a dishwasher!
