A couple of days of theatre

I always like a couple of days of theatre and last week we had just such a a thing due to having to be in London for a few days.

Thursday night we went to The King’s Head in Islington – managed a lovely meal in the Sacre Coeur around the corner first. The show? Naked Boys Singing of course prior to its well deserved transfer to the Arts Theatre. What a great evening! The show is actually very good, beautiful songs and plenty of gratuitous nudity! I knew it would be fun but it turned out to be good theatre too. Met up with an old friend, one of the actors, afterwards – thanks for a good evening Nathan!

Friday night was just a tad different. Pizza Express and Orwell – A Celebration. SeatChoice were proud to support the website of this terrific production – directed by Gene David Kirk. Dominic Cavendish’s adaptation of Orwell’s Coming Up For Air was particularly good – I think it has supplanted Scaramouche Jones as my favourite monologue!

A great couple of 4* days!
