Day 8 – Rome to Sorrento
A glorious day for a short journey, well, short compared to previous drives! Up and re-pack and load the car. Leaving at 9:20 with 71% in the battery we got to our first charge point with 47% – an excellent rest stop on the autostrade with restaurant and shop. Very fast charge to 96% and head off again.

Moving towards Sorrento, fast chargers become rarer beasts, in fact in and around Sorrento itself there’s nothing above 22Kw and precious few of those! So we stopped before we got there and parked at an on-street charger which, after a couple of false starts, proved excellent and was just opposite the Hotel Miramar where we had a fabulous lunch overlooking the bay and Vesuvius. Went from 51% to 93%.

In Sorrento we had trouble finding our AirBnB as it was up in the hills – this also meant we had to use the car quite a bit just to get around. Worrying as we need to be able to leave in a few days time and are heading into another rather dry area. Still no point worrying at this stage.
